Jamie Foxx: After being hospitalized, Jamie Foxx tells his fans that he is now on the mend from a nearly fatal illness.

Jamie Foxx, an Academy Award-winning actor, singer, and comedian,

revealed in a video on Instagram that he is recovering from an unspecified medical issue.

The three minutes and 15 second video has a thin-appearing Foxx saying, “I went to hell and back, and my road to recovery has some potholes as well, but I’m coming back.” I’ve been able to work.

I simply didn’t want you to perceive me in that way. In his thank-you speech, Foxx thanked his daughter, sister, God, and medical staff for saving his life. “I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through,” he added.

At the film’s Los Angeles premiere on June 28, David Alan Grier, Teyonah Parris, and Tamberla Perry, who were all in the recent Foxx film “They Cloned Tyrone,” said they missed the actor.

Perry added, “Just hoping he gets better and takes the time he needs to rehabilitate”.

Foxx, born Eric Marlon Bishop in 1967 in Terrell, Texas, began his career as a stand-up comic before landing a number of parts on the musical comedy “In Living Colour” on Fox TV in 1990.

In addition to receiving a Grammy in 2010 for the song “Blame It,” Foxx received an Academy Award for best actor in 2004 for his depiction of Ray Charles in the historical film “Ray.”

He has also appeared in “Collateral,” “The Jamie Foxx Show,” and “Django Unchained.”
